Koh Phangan is after Ibiza probably the most known party island in the world. The biggest difference between Ibiza and the nightlife on Koh Phangan is that there is not a club culture on Koh Phangan as most parties and events take place outdoor, either on the beach or in the jungle. The only club is the Backyard in Haad Rin where the after parties and warm up parties for the full moon party take place.

The most know parties on Koh Phangan are the Full Moon Party, the Half Moon Party, the Black Moon party and the New Year party. There are also a few smaller less crowded other parties.

Besides the many parties Koh Phangan also has a growing scene for live music.
