Half Moon Party Koh Phangan

The Half Moon Party on Koh Phangan is extremely popular and very well organized. The party takes place twice a month, a week before and a week after the Full Moon Party and it is held on a beautiful location in Ban Tai jungle. The general atmosphere in the Half Moon Party is of a small festival: there is a huge dancing arena, three bars and several food stalls all nicely decorated with sculptures, light projectors, neon-art and beautiful UV decorations.

During the Half Moon Party Thai DJs Tripikal and Jao from Koh Phangan and others from Bangkok or international dj’s are working hard to make sure you will dance all night long; intelligent progressive house music, tribal drum beats, psychedelic trance and many more wicked tunes that will keep you up till sunrise. One of the reasons the Half Moon Party is so well known is thanks to the brilliant sounds system. The so called Harmony Team is the organization behind the party and they make sure to provide the crowd with the latest sound system and audio perfection.

The entrance to the party is about 500 THB and the ticket includes one free drink. It is highly recommend arriving early- around 9 pm, then you will be able to warm up with some chilled out tunes and later on, a live band. Around midnight the real party starts and from there on it is complete madness.
