Haad Yao Bars and Restaurants

The village of Haad Yao offers a variety of bars and restaurants which get fairly full with tourists and locals together, during high seasons. On the most southern point of the beach you will find the Eagle Bar & Restaurant which is open from the afternoon till late at night and offers delicious food and freshly made fruits cocktails. Ask around for the bar’s agenda since they organise some smashing parties occasionally. For more parties check out the Apple Bar which often does a big party with funky house, or the Magic Bar – where pre full moon parties take place monthly with live dj’s playing house.

For those of you who prefer a more relaxed evening with tasty food and chilled out music, there are plenty of options as well; Haad Yao on Koh Phangan has a handful of amazing Thai restaurants which will turn a standard meal, into a sensational experience! Kop’s Restaurant offers truly amazing Thai and Western food. Be aware that the cook takes her time to work patiently on your dish so don’t arrive there completely starving. Haad Yao Villa is known for its inexpensive prices and full of flavour cooking. Another advantage in this cosy restaurant is the super friendly staff and excellent service. After finish eating, it is time to go have a nice cocktail before heading to bed, or to a late night party.

The Life Club has a beautiful, modern- rooftop terrace where you can watch the sunset and relax with some chilled tunes, in the Rasta Bar you can listen to reggae grooves in a mellow atmosphere and gorgeous surrounding and in the JuJu Bar which is behind the northern part of Haad yao beach you can enjoy some funk, soul, jazz and hiphop music. As for some daytime activities, during high season you will be able to take pleasure in some fun boat tours. The tours start with sailing from the shallow beach water, into the deep blue ocean. During the tour you will manage to view breathtaking Koh Phangan island from the seaside, learn more about the coral reef, go snorkeling and get some sunshine from the boat’s deck!
