KOH PHANGAN BEACHES AND AREAS
For a lot of people Koh Phangan is synonymous with the world famous Full Moon Party which takes place every month in Haad Rin. The party is definitely worth experiencing but remember that Haad Rin is a small part of the island's shoreline and Koh Phangan has much more to offer. Koh Phangan has more than 20 different beaches each with its own characteristics and atmosphere.

Haad Rin and Leela Beach (or Haad Seekantang) are located on a small peninsula at the most Southeastern tip of Koh Phangan. Haad Rin is the epicentre of the famous Full Moon Party in Thailand and is the most lively area.

The Southwest with villages Thong Sala, Ban Khai and Ban Tai is a good choice for those who want to be near the nightlife while staying in a more quiet area. It is a central location to explore the island and there are several good resorts to choose from.

The Northwest with villages Wok Tum, Srithanu, Haad Chao Phao, Haad Yao, Haad Salad and Chaloklum is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning sunsets and the best snorkeling and dive spots. The area offers many nice resorts and good restaurants.

The Northeast of Koh Pha-Ngan is surrounded by jungle and known for the relaxed atmosphere and seclusion from the crowds. The beautiful secluded bays like Thong Nai Pan and Than Sadet and some of the most luxurious resorts on the island.
