 SOUTHEAST
AREA
The east side of the island consists of a few secluded and isolated sunrise beaches and coves, mainly accessible by longtailboat. Electricity still runs mainly on generators here. Most accommodation on this side of the island is simple and low budget. But we can offer you one very nice resort here. Show me recommended resorts, hotels and bungalows in this area
VILLAGES
 Haad Thian has a gravelly and rocky coastline with just a small strip of sand. The swimming is quite good and an alternative community “The Sanctuary” offers courses and activities here. Haad Yuan has a nice beach with excellent swimming and is becoming more popular. Haad Yao East is a remote, deserted beach with good swimming and rocks on both ends of the beach.
NIGHTLIFE
There is hardly any nightlife in this area, only the occasional self created party.
